Alex Gartner is an in demand music director and accompanist throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. As a student at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), Alex specializes in choral music education and has studied voice, piano, and conducting, performing in such venues as Music Hall in Cincinnati and Carnegie Hall under the direction of composer/conductor Eric Whitacre. Recently, Alex served as music director for the regional premiere of Showtune, a revue of Jerry Herman, for which he received four Orchid Awards and personal praise from the show’s creator, Paul Gilger.
